Let the Image Rule

I know I am not alone in this…you buy the image, you color the image, then you mistakenly hide the image with embellishments and sentiments that overpower the card. Oh, it’s so easy to do. I get so excited about the card and all the “pretty” things that can go with it, that I forget a beautifully colored image is enough.

A beautifully colored image is enough to make any card special.

The image featured on the card above is part of the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive Stamp Collection, Beautiful Florals. This stamp has become one of my favorites for its elegance and versatility. Below are a couple more of cards I have created with this stamp set.

INSPIRATIONAL CHALLENGE: Find an image that “speaks” to you and make it the focal point of your card. Make a few different cards with the same image, but different techniques. For example, for one card color the image and for the next card color the card using resist embossing.
