A Rant about Southern Summers and a Ode to Autumn

MFT Sketch Challenge No. 449

Hi Y’all! Today I am sharing with you this card I created to participate in the MFT Sketch Challenge #449. As usual, the products from My Favorite Things makes it totally easy to make these fantastic and scenic cards. I put links to the supplies I used at bottom of this post.

Notice the fall scene? Yes! I am dreaming of Autumn right now. I know my southern U.S. friends and family can appreciate my feelings right now. I’m pretty sure that the devil has set up shop outside my door, it’s so hot! Seriously, it’s like 80 degrees before 6:00 am. The sun isn’t even up! Don’t get me wrong, Summer is great in the beginning, but midway through…well you get the picture.

So, I dedicate this card to Autumn, “You are the Beary Best”. You bring cooler days and mosquito free nights. You bring football and backyard hangouts around the fire pit. You paint the trees with bright colors of reds, oranges, and yellows. Front lawns are a perfect patchwork of green and yellow. Best of all, I get to put on over-sized sweaters that will hide all the weight I will gain from football parties, southern comfort food (i.e. everything fried), and the grand finale called Thanksgiving. Autumn, do not tarry. 🙂

I hope you enjoyed this post and I would love to know what the weather is like in your neck of the woods in the comments below.

Happy Crafting Y’all, Erika
